With the Miami Heat just one win away from the NBA Finals last season, they are now far removed from that goal and instead fighting for a guaranteed playoff spot. Currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, they face the possibility of having to play at least one game in the play-in tournament if they want to advance to the official first round. The Heat have an opportunity to strengthen their position when they go head-to-head with MVP Candidate Joel Embiid the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night.
Well first, lets Look into the injury report, Miami’s Kyle Lowry and Bam Adebayo are questionable for tonight. As for the Sixers, they are questionable with PJ Tucker and Tyrese Maxey.
One of the big trends to consider for tonight, Miami is 1 and 6 against the spread in their last 7 road games versus a team with a winning home record. That being the Sixers, who hold a strong home record of 29 and 11.
That said, we think the Sixers will have no problem covering the spread versus the Heat at -3 especially if Bam Bam is out, it’s going to be hard for Miami to matchup against Embiid.
