New York Knicks Betting Preview
The Knicks head into Game 3 looking like a team that accidentally unlocked every cheat code in the playoffs. New York owns a commanding 2-0 series lead, carries a franchise-record nine-game playoff winning streak, and continues steamrolling opponents with the confidence of a group fully convinced this season could end with a championship parade through Manhattan.
Jalen Brunson remains the unquestioned engine behind the Knicks’ dominance. The veteran guard is averaging 28.5 points and 10 assists in the Eastern Conference finals while repeatedly delivering massive moments whenever games tighten late. Game 1 was pure playoff insanity as Brunson fueled a ridiculous comeback from a 22-point deficit before New York stole a 115-104 overtime win.
Then in Game 2, the Knicks decided emotional drama was overrated and simply crushed Cleveland with a dominant second-half performance. Josh Hart exploded for 26 points and drilled five three-pointers while New York ripped off another brutal momentum-shifting run that completely buried the Cavaliers.
What makes this team especially dangerous for bettors is the balance. Brunson controls pace, Hart provides relentless energy, Karl-Anthony Towns dominates the glass, and New York’s defense constantly forces opponents into ugly offensive stretches.
The Knicks are also playing with enormous confidence on the road. Historically, New York has been comfortable in Cleveland during playoff series, and the current roster looks mentally tougher than at any point in recent years.
If the Knicks continue moving the ball and forcing turnovers, they have a legitimate chance to take complete control of the series Saturday night.
Player Prop Pick: Jalen Brunson Over 26.5 Points
Brunson continues carrying the offense late in games and should once again see massive usage in another hostile playoff environment.
Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview
Cleveland suddenly finds itself in full desperation mode despite entering the series with home-court confidence and momentum from two grueling playoff victories earlier in the postseason.
Now the Cavaliers return home trailing 2-0 and searching for answers after looking completely overwhelmed during long stretches of the first two games.
Donovan Mitchell has done his part offensively, averaging 27.5 points in the series while constantly attacking the rim and creating offense under pressure. Evan Mobley has also been productive with 14.5 points, 10 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game, but Cleveland’s supporting cast has struggled badly.
The biggest issue remains James Harden. The veteran guard has now delivered three straight rough playoff performances, and Cleveland desperately needs better efficiency from him offensively. The Cavaliers shot under 39 percent in Game 2 and repeatedly failed to capitalize on quality looks.
Fatigue may also be becoming a factor. Cleveland has been playing every other day for weeks after surviving seven-game battles against both Toronto and Detroit. By the second half of Game 2, the Cavaliers simply looked slower than New York defensively.
Still, Cleveland’s home record this postseason cannot be ignored. The Cavaliers are 6-1 at home in the playoffs and already proved earlier this postseason they can recover after trailing a series 2-0.
Jarrett Allen’s calm leadership also continues helping stabilize the locker room despite the pressure surrounding Saturday’s game.
The Cavaliers know the stakes perfectly. Lose Game 3 and the series effectively becomes a basketball funeral procession.
Player Prop Pick: Donovan Mitchell Over 26.5 Points
Mitchell should attack aggressively from the opening quarter with Cleveland facing an absolute must-win situation.
NBA Final Score & Expert Prediction
Cleveland should respond with significantly more urgency at home, but New York simply looks sharper, deeper, and mentally stronger right now.
Expect another highly competitive battle, though the Cavaliers finally find enough offense to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole.
Final Score: Cavaliers 112, Knicks 108
