Oilers vs. Kings Game 4 Betting Preview, Prediction & Breakdown
Moneyline: Edmonton -138 | Total: 6.0
Los Angeles Kings Outlook
The Kings find themselves in a bittersweet position heading into Game 4. They still hold a 2-1 series lead, but Friday’s Game 3 collapse—giving up two goals just 10 seconds apart in the third period—cost them a golden chance to grab a 3-0 stranglehold. Now the question is whether they can regroup mentally and physically after letting that game slip away.
Los Angeles has leaned all season on its strong defensive play and home dominance. However, in two of three games this series, they’ve let third-period leads evaporate, which is concerning against a lethal Edmonton attack. The Kings need to tighten up defensively late if they want to pull off the upset series win.
Mikey Anderson and Drew Doughty are preaching a stay-the-course mentality, but Sunday will show if they can actually execute it. If the Kings can avoid defensive lapses and slow down Edmonton’s stars, they’ll be in great shape to cover and possibly steal another win.
Edmonton Oilers Outlook
The Oilers absolutely needed their Game 3 comeback, and they got it in explosive fashion, rattling off late goals and storming to a 7-4 win. Now they enter Game 4 as -138 favorites, knowing momentum is finally swinging their way.
Despite battling injuries to key players like Evander Kane, Connor McDavid, and Leon Draisaitl, Edmonton’s stars showed up when it mattered most. Draisaitl has been unstoppable against L.A., extending his playoff point streak against the Kings to 17 games. With some of their depth players like Trent Frederic and John Klingberg starting to shake off the rust, the Oilers’ lineup is becoming more dangerous by the game.
Edmonton knows if they can tie the series at home, they’ll regain full control heading back to L.A. Their explosive offense looks ready to capitalize again, especially against a Kings team that’s shown cracks late in games.
Prediction
Momentum now firmly rests with Edmonton, and at home, they should ride the wave to another high-energy performance. With McDavid and Draisaitl heating up, and the Oilers’ depth players finding their legs, expect Edmonton to even the series.
Pick: Oilers ML (-138)
Prediction: Edmonton 5, Los Angeles 3
Lean: Over 6.0 (-125) – With both teams showing vulnerability defensively and plenty of firepower up front, another high-scoring contest looks very likely.
