Texas Rangers vs. New York Yankees Betting Preview
Moneyline: Yankees -195
Total: 9.0
New York Yankees Outlook
The Yankees are rolling into this series with momentum and a red-hot Cody Bellinger, who’s riding a 13-game hitting streak while batting .377 during that stretch. After a slow start to the season, Bellinger is heating up at the plate he went 7-for-11 with seven RBIs in the Subway Series and capped Sunday’s win with a grand slam. The Yankees have gone 7-3 over their last 10 games and are finally seeing the offensive consistency they were hoping for when they brought Bellinger in from Chicago.
Will Warren takes the mound, fresh off back-to-back solid starts. He’s logged 24 strikeouts over his last three outings and appears to be settling in. Facing Texas for the first time, he’ll look to keep the strikeout train rolling.
Texas Rangers Outlook
The Rangers have quietly found some rhythm of their own, going 7-2 in their last nine. The offense has improved since Bret Boone stepped in as hitting coach, but the team went cold in the finale against Houston no extra-base hits and 10 strikeouts.
Patrick Corbin will look to steady things for Texas. He’s posted a solid 3.35 ERA through seven starts and is unbeaten so far. He’s also pitched well historically against New York, with a 2.30 ERA across five career starts.
Still, with the Yankees swinging hot bats especially Bellinger and Warren missing bats at a high clip, the Bronx Bombers have the edge in this one.
Prediction and Final Score
Back New York to keep the bats alive at home and take the opener behind Warren’s recent surge and Bellinger’s blazing bat. Texas could keep it close early, but the Yankees should pull away late.
Score Prediction: Yankees 5, Rangers 3
