Toronto has flipped the script in the AL East, and with a third straight win over the Yankees, they could tie New York atop the division. After a 12-5 rout on Tuesday, this team is firing on all cylinders.
George Springer delivered a legendary performance on Canada Day with two home runs, including a grand slam and a career-high seven RBIs. With Bo Bichette sidelined but improving, Springer’s leadership and pop couldn’t come at a better time.
Veteran José Berríos (4-3, 3.26 ERA) takes the mound looking to repeat his early-season dominance over New York. Though his overall record vs the Yankees is shaky (4-8, 4.89 ERA), he tossed over five shutout frames against them back in April.

The Yankees have now dropped six of their last seven and are spiraling offensively. A 6-12 record over their past 18 games has erased much of their early-season dominance.
Will Warren (5-4, 4.37 ERA) will try to stop the bleeding. He had a solid June (2.86 ERA) and now makes his first career start against Toronto, but he’ll need to neutralize a hot lineup without the help of much run support.
