Colorado Rockies Betting Preview

The Rockies enter Sunday aiming for their first home sweep of 2025 after taking the first two games against Minnesota with wins of 6-4 and 10-6. Interim manager Warren Schaeffer called it a “building block” moment for a team that’s struggled to find consistency at Coors Field, where they are just 12-36 this season.

Ryan McMahon has been on a tear, homering in back-to-back games, while Ezequiel Tovar’s clutch three-run shot and Hunter Goodman’s late two-run homer carried Saturday’s offensive explosion. Even with a battered lineup, Ryan Ritter is sidelined with a finger injury, Colorado’s bats have come alive, scoring 16 runs in the first two games.

German Marquez (3-10, 5.57 ERA) will start for Colorado. Despite his rocky season, Marquez has dominated Minnesota in limited appearances, boasting a 2-0 record and a microscopic 0.71 ERA in two career starts against the Twins.

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

Minnesota comes into Sunday’s game on a three-game losing streak and will need to bounce back to avoid being swept. Carlos Correa didn’t mince words after Saturday’s defeat, saying the team must “play better baseball” if they hope to stay competitive in the AL Central race.

Joe Ryan (9-4, 2.72 ERA) will take the mound for Minnesota. While his overall numbers this season are stellar, his history against Colorado hasn’t been kind, with an 8.10 ERA in two career starts against them. Ryan will need to keep the ball down in hitter-friendly Coors Field, especially against a red-hot Rockies lineup.

Prediction

The Rockies’ offense has surged at just the right time, but Minnesota remains the stronger team on paper. With Ryan looking to rebound and the Twins eager to stop the skid, expect Minnesota’s lineup to grind out runs and avoid the sweep.

Score Prediction: Twins 7, Rockies 5
