Colorado vs Utah NHL Preview & Pick

Moneyline: Colorado -145
Spread: Colorado -1.5 (+175)
Total: 6.0

Colorado Avalanche Betting Outlook

The Avalanche enter Tuesday night on a heater, unbeaten on the road and fresh off a 4-1 dismantling of the Bruins. They’ve won three straight and continue to look like a finely tuned machine, even without their top goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood, who remains sidelined. Fortunately, Scott Wedgewood has been sensational in his place, posting a 1.48 goals-against average and giving Colorado every reason to ride the hot hand.

Colorado’s top line is doing the heavy lifting again, Nathan MacKinnon, Martin Necas, and Artturi Lehkonen have been torching defenses with speed and precision. MacKinnon, already with six goals, continues to dictate pace like few players in the league. The Avalanche’s defensive structure has also been elite, allowing just one goal in each of their five victories, proving that this group doesn’t need high-scoring shootouts to dominate.

If the Avalanche stay disciplined and control possession, they have the edge to hand Utah its first home loss of the year.

Player Prop Pick: Nathan MacKinnon Over 3.5 Shots on Goal – MacKinnon has been firing relentlessly, averaging nearly five shots per game. Expect him to stay aggressive against Utah’s defense.

Utah Mammoth Betting Outlook

Utah’s been a revelation at home, opening 3-0-0 in Salt Lake City and finally showing the kind of chemistry that eluded them last season. The duo of Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz has been electric, combining for 12 points in their last two games. Schmaltz’s hat trick against San Jose and Keller’s playmaking mastery have turned Utah into a serious early-season threat.

This game carries a little extra spice, Utah lost the opener in Colorado and now has the chance to even the season series. Their chemistry and energy on home ice have been key, and coach André Tourigny’s squad looks far more mature and confident than the version that stumbled through last year.

The Mammoth will lean heavily on Keller and Schmaltz to generate offense, but their defense will have to withstand Colorado’s relentless attack if they hope to stay perfect at home.

Player Prop Pick: Clayton Keller Over 0.5 Assists – Keller has been Utah’s setup machine, assisting on six of their last nine goals. He’s the engine of their offense.

NHL Prediction and Final Score

Both teams enter unbeaten in their respective settings, Colorado on the road, Utah at home but something’s got to give. The Avalanche’s structure, depth, and shot suppression make them the better bet to extend their streak. Utah will fight hard, but Colorado’s speed and firepower should be too much in the end.

Score Prediction: Avalanche 4, Mammoth 2
Pick: Colorado -1.5 (+175)
Total: Over 5.5 Alt Lines (-145)
