Minnesota Wild Betting Preview

Minnesota shows up riding one of the hottest streaks in the league. After a rough start to the season, the Wild have flipped the switch and ripped off a 7-1-1 run, leaning on better structure, quicker puck movement, and Matt Boldy playing like he finally realized he’s allowed to be dominant every night.

Boldy’s on a five-game surge, Zuccarello’s still threading passes like a magician, and Brock Faber looks like he was drafted straight out of a robotics lab. The Wild are scoring early too, cashing the first goal in 10 straight games, which has kept them in control of the tempo.

Jesper Wallstedt may not have collected another shutout last game, but the kid still stopped 42 shots and has turned into Minnesota’s most reliable presence in the crease. He’s unbeaten in regulation at 5-0-2 and keeping the Wild in every game.

Minnesota must weather the environment on the road, but momentum is firmly on their side.

Pittsburgh Penguins Betting Preview

Pittsburgh returns home after the Sweden split where they lost a game late and then answered with a 4-0 shutout. Crosby and Malkin both scoring in the same game is essentially a cheat code for the Penguins, and the team looked sharper defensively in Stockholm than the week prior.

Rookie Sergei Murashov delivered a clean sheet in his first NHL win, buying time for Tristan Jarry, who is close to returning from injury. The Penguins aren’t at full strength, but they’re playing structurally better and generating steadier zone time.

Pittsburgh’s key is finishing stronger than they’ve shown recently. When the game stays tight late, they’ve occasionally let control slip, something that must tighten up against a Minnesota team that’s cashing early leads consistently.

NHL Betting Edge & Prediction

Minnesota is rolling, but Pittsburgh at home after a long road stretch tends to show up more organized and more urgent. The Wild have been winning with fast starts — and Pittsburgh’s biggest goal is avoiding an early hole.

Expect a competitive, back-and-forth game with both offenses generating late opportunities.

Score Prediction: Penguins 4, Wild 3
Pick: Pittsburgh (-130)
Total: Over 6.0 (-103)
