New York Liberty: Apparently They Found Cheat Codes
The Liberty are rolling into Indianapolis on a four-game winning streak, and their latest performance was less “basketball game” and more “public demolition.”
New York crushed Las Vegas 111-71, with Marine Johannes coming off the bench and casually dropping a career-high 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting in only 22 minutes. Totally normal bench behavior.
Breanna Stewart remains the grown-up in the room, averaging 21.3 points per game, fourth-best in the WNBA. Jonquel Jones continues controlling the glass at 9.1 rebounds per game.
New York already beat Indiana 83-75 earlier this season, but the Liberty also got smoked 108-88 during their previous trip to Indianapolis. So yes, revenge and trauma are both available Tuesday.
Indiana Fever: Caitlin Clark Escapes Jail
For about five minutes, Fever bettors thought Caitlin Clark was suspended.
Clark received what appeared to be her eighth technical foul against Chicago, which would’ve triggered a one-game suspension. Then the WNBA rescinded it. Crisis canceled. Everybody can put the pitchforks away.
Clark enters averaging 21.6 points per game after posting 26 points and 11 assists against Chicago. Kelsey Mitchell was even hotter with 27 points and ranks second in the WNBA at 24.2 points per game.
Aliyah Boston added 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Makayla Timpson contributed 10 points, three rebounds, three assists and two blocks in her latest start.
Indiana snapped a two-game skid and now gets New York at home, where it already handed the Liberty a 20-point beating.

A total of 192.0 basically asks whether anyone plans on playing defense or whether we’re just running a two-hour layup line.
With Clark, Mitchell and Stewart all among the league’s elite scorers, offense shouldn’t be difficult to find. Still, 192 is an enormous number, and New York’s recent form makes taking Indiana -2.5 uncomfortable.
Indiana has Clark. New York has momentum. Bettors have heart medication. Liberty cover the number and potentially steal the game outright.
