Connecticut vs Indiana Preview & Prediction
Spread: Indiana -17.0
Moneyline: Indiana (-1900)
Total: 177.5
Indiana’s Offense Is Basically Unfair
Indiana enters Friday at 25-14 and is scoring a league-best 96.6 points per game. The Fever also lead the WNBA in field-goal percentage at 48.9% and 3-point shooting at 39.5%, which is a polite way of saying opposing defenses have mostly been decorative.
Caitlin Clark is averaging 22.1 points and 8.3 assists after dropping 37 points and 10 assists on Chicago. Kelsey Mitchell is somehow even hotter, averaging 24.8 points per game in the most efficient season of her nine-year career.
Indiana has scored 100-plus points in 18 games, including three of the last four.
Connecticut Gets Another Nightmare Matchup
The Sun are 10-28 and just got steamrolled 89-64 by Golden State after trailing 55-27 at halftime and by as many as 35.
Charlisse Leger-Walker provided one bright spot with a career-high 17 points and four assists while taking over more ball-handling responsibility with Leila Lacan away.
Unfortunately, now she gets Indiana. Excellent timing.
Fever Already Own This Matchup
Indiana has won both meetings this season, including a ridiculous 123-88 blowout on July 22.
Clark scored 27 that night, Mitchell added 23 and Aliyah Boston poured in 22. That trio combined for 72 points, which is almost enough to beat Connecticut by itself.
LVSB Betting Take
Indiana is laying a massive 17 points, but the number makes sense. The Fever have the league’s best offense, home court and two MVP-level scorers firing at once.
Connecticut simply has not shown enough resistance against elite teams.
