Minnesota: Road Warriors Arrive

The Lynx enter Las Vegas at 28-7 with the WNBA’s best record and a ridiculous 14-2 mark on the road. Apparently, hostile arenas are just Minnesota vacation properties now.

Minnesota has won three straight, including Wednesday’s 85-81 escape against Portland. The Lynx led by as many as 26 before deciding to turn the second half into an unnecessary cardio test.

Kayla McBride scored 19 points, while rookie Olivia Miles added 13 points and seven assists. Miles is averaging a team-high 19.1 points and 6.1 assists and became the fastest player in league history to reach 650 points and 200 assists.

That’s one way to submit a Rookie of the Year application.

Las Vegas: Champions Still Dangerous

The defending champs are 24-11 and have officially punched their playoff ticket after beating Washington 83-76.

Jackie Young exploded for a season-high 32 points, helping Las Vegas win for the sixth time in nine games.

Then there’s A’ja Wilson, because apparently having one superstar wasn’t enough. Wilson leads the Aces with 25.9 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.

Las Vegas has also started closing games better, winning consecutive fourth quarters while tightening defensively. The Aces are 11-5 at home, so Minnesota isn’t exactly walking into a casino handing out free money.

LVSB Betting Prediction

These teams have split two meetings this season, but Minnesota won the latest matchup 98-87.

The Lynx are laying only 1.5, and their league-best record plus 14-2 road performance makes that number attractive. Las Vegas has championship pedigree, but Minnesota has been the more consistent team.

We’re riding with the Lynx.

The total sits at 182.0. With Miles, McBride, Young and Wilson supplying plenty of offensive firepower, we’re leaning toward another high-scoring meeting.

Vegas has the casino. Minnesota has been collecting on the road all season.

Final Score: Lynx 94, Aces 90
Lean: Minnesota Lynx -1.5

Over 182.0
