Braves vs Giants – Game Preview, Prediction and Player Props

Moneyline: Atlanta -135 | Total: 7.5

Atlanta Braves: Seeking Redemption in the Bay

The Braves just suffered an absolute meltdown, coughing up a six-run ninth-inning lead to Arizona in a soul-crushing 11-10 defeat. Now losers of 8 of their last 10, they’re hoping a change of scenery out West will reset the vibes.

Manager Brian Snitker didn’t hold back, calling it a “horrible loss” and admitting the entire team had to stew in silence on the long flight to San Francisco. But if history repeats itself, Atlanta could be in for a rebound. Last season, a similar gut-punch in Colorado preceded a three-game sweep in San Fran.

Pitching Friday is Spencer Schwellenbach (4-4, 3.13 ERA), who tossed a gem in his last outing and has allowed zero earned runs in four of his 12 starts this year. He’s yet to face the Giants but looks poised to bounce back strong.

Braves Prop Picks:

Austin Riley Over 1.5 Total Bases – Slumping a bit, but great bounce-back potential vs a young arm.
Spencer Schwellenbach Over 5.5 Strikeouts – Has shown command, and the Giants strike out at a decent clip.

San Francisco Giants: New Faces, Big Impacts

While the Braves are trying to regroup, the Giants are piecing things together on the fly and it’s working. After dropping the first two games to San Diego, San Francisco bounced back with back-to-back wins thanks to some unlikely heroes.

Dominic Smith smacked a clutch two-run double on Thursday, and recent call-up Daniel Johnson has brought much-needed energy. Even veteran catcher Andrew Knizner contributed in his first game with the club, catching Robbie Ray in a solid outing.

Hayden Birdsong (3-1, 2.37 ERA) will toe the rubber for San Fran. The 23-year-old righty is making his fourth start of the year and comes in with confidence after holding Miami to one run over 5 1/3 innings last time out. He’s already beaten Atlanta once before and he’ll be looking to do it again.

Giants Prop Picks:

Mike Yastrzemski Over 0.5 RBIs – Has a knack for delivering in tight spots.
Hayden Birdsong Over 4.5 Strikeouts – Atlanta’s lineup has been chasing more lately.

Prediction & Betting Outlook

The Braves are desperate to halt their slide, and with Schwellenbach on the mound and the offense waking up, this might be their best shot to start a win streak. The Giants are scrappy but relying on new faces. Atlanta should bounce back with authority.

Final Score Prediction: Braves 5, Giants 3
