The Padres are looking to keep the good times rolling after a dramatic 3-2 extra-inning walk-off win on Friday night. Manny Machado continues to climb the all-time ranks, blasting a 440-foot homer and adding a single to come within three knocks of the historic 2,000-hit/350-homer club. That list includes legends like Mays, Aaron, and Gehrig and Machado is next in line with a birthday looming Sunday.
Jake Cronenworth played the hero in the 10th, cashing in the game-winner after Texas wisely pitched around Machado. But not all news was good, Xander Bogaerts exited with yet another hamstring cramp, raising concerns as this has become a recurring issue.
