Milwaukee: The Miz Is Cooking
Milwaukee enters as a -128 favorite with the best record in the National League, and Jacob Misiorowski is a major reason why.
The 24-year-old is 11-5 with a ridiculous 1.76 ERA and 204 strikeouts in 133 innings. Apparently allowing hitters to make contact is now considered optional.
Misiorowski pitched well at Dodger Stadium during last year’s NLCS, allowing two runs, only one earned, with nine strikeouts over five innings. The Brewers simply forgot the part where you’re supposed to score runs.
Milwaukee does have injury concerns. Brice Turang has missed consecutive games with knee soreness, while setup man Abner Uribe landed on the injured list with a forearm strain.
Los Angeles: Wrobleski Warning
The Dodgers pulled within one game of Milwaukee in the NL standings after Friday’s 3-1 victory. Andy Pages and Tommy Edman homered, while Edwin Diaz survived a bases-loaded ninth inning for his seventh save.
Now comes Justin Wrobleski, and recent results haven’t exactly screamed “mortgage payment.”
Wrobleski is 11-4 with a 3.44 ERA overall, but he’s 0-2 with a horrifying 9.88 ERA across his last three starts.
It gets worse. He’s 0-2 with an 8.10 career ERA against Milwaukee and surrendered five runs on eight hits over five innings against the Brewers on May 22.
Other than that, everything is fantastic.

Milwaukee is laying -128, and we’re comfortable backing the better starting pitcher.
Misiorowski is operating at Cy Young level, while Wrobleski’s second-half form has fallen off a cliff. Los Angeles certainly has enough offense to make this uncomfortable, but the starting pitching gap is difficult to ignore.
The total is only 7.5, but Wrobleski’s recent struggles give Milwaukee a chance to do serious damage.
Misiorowski brings the 1.76 ERA. Wrobleski brings the 9.88 recent ERA. Vegas brings us a betting line and asks us not to overthink it.
