The Mystics haven’t had much to smile about this season, but rookies Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen are giving D.C. hope. Both were named to the WNBA All-Star Game,two of just three rookies across the league to earn the honor. Citron is putting up 14.6 PPG with 4.9 boards, while Iriafen brings size and hustle, averaging 12.3 PPG and 8.3 RPG.
After climbing back to .500 with a brief win streak, the Mystics have stumbled in back-to-back losses, most recently getting blitzed by the league-best Lynx in a 92-75 blowout. Still, with time to regroup and home-court edge, this matchup against the reeling Sky is a spot where Washington can cover the spread. They already beat Chicago 79-72 on the road last month, thanks in part to a 32-point explosion from Brittney Sykes.

Chicago Sky Betting Breakdown
The Sky are trying to find consistency, but even Angel Reese’s monster double-doubles aren’t translating into wins. Reese had 16 points and 17 boards in Sunday’s loss to Minnesota, and Rachel Banham added 20, but questionable officiating and just eight free throw attempts left head coach Tyler Marsh scratching his head.
Despite their struggles, Chicago’s better on the road (3 wins) than at home (2), and they’ve been competitive in recent games. Their physicality down low is no joke, Reese herself said postgame she’s tired of not getting calls while taking a beating in the paint.

Angel Reese Over Rebounds – She’s been a vacuum on the glass and could again dominate the boards against a smaller Washington frontcourt.

The Mystics have a more balanced attack and the momentum of two rising rookies earning All-Star spots. Combine that with home-court advantage and recent history over Chicago, and Washington is the safer side.
