Two teams meet Friday in Cleveland with very different problems: the Mariners can’t buy a win on the road, while the Guardians can’t hit their way out of a wet paper bag. Something has to give and gamblers are ready to cash in.

Seattle Mariners: Swinging for the Skies, Missing the Ground

The Mariners bring one of the loudest bats in baseball, 191 homers, third-best in the majors, but also an uncanny ability to look allergic to runs when it matters most. They’ve dropped five straight on the road, and yet, MyBookie sportsbooks still like them as -161 favorites.

George Kirby (8-6, 4.05 ERA) will try to be the Band-Aid for Seattle’s travel woes. He’s efficient, has excellent control, and only occasionally reminds fans why heartburn medicine sells so well in ballparks. With sluggers like Eugenio Suarez (42 bombs already) and Cal Raleigh’s streaky power, Seattle’s lineup always feels one swing away from turning the game into a beer-league softball contest.

Cleveland Guardians: Bring Your Own Offense

The Guardians are sitting at a perfectly average 66-66, which is exactly how they’ve been playing, mediocre with the occasional spark. The problem? Their lineup has looked like it’s powered by AAA batteries lately. Over their last 10 games, they hit a miserable .179 and were outscored by 22 runs.

Jose Ramirez, as always, carries the offense, batting .284 with 26 homers. Unfortunately, one man can only do so much while the rest of the squad swings like they’re trying to swat mosquitoes instead of baseballs. Logan Allen (7-10, 4.35 ERA) takes the mound, and while he’s serviceable, he’s not exactly the kind of pitcher who makes opposing managers lose sleep.

Prediction: Mariners Get Right at Cleveland’s Expense

Seattle’s road woes are real, but Cleveland’s disappearing offense is even more concerning. If the Mariners can get a couple of early long balls, the Guardians may not have the bats to keep pace.

Final Score Prediction:  Mariners 6, Guardians 3
Bets Bet: Seattle -1.5 (+105)
