Cincinnati vs Chi. Cubs MLB Preview & Pick

Moneyline: Chi. Cubs -200
Runline: Chi. Cubs -1.5 (+110)
Total: 8.5

Chicago Cubs: Walkoff Kings Rising

The Chicago Cubs are sitting at -200 favorites and honestly, at this point, they might as well start games in the 9th inning because that’s when the fun begins. Three straight walk-off wins this series. Three. At Wrigley. Against the same team. That’s not baseball, that’s emotional damage.

Pete Crow-Armstrong decided Wednesday wasn’t chaotic enough, launching a clutch homer in the ninth like he was starring in a movie. Then Michael Busch casually ends it with a bases-loaded walk. Nothing says dominance like winning without swinging the bat.

Chicago has now won 14 straight at home, which basically means opposing teams should consider declining the invitation. On the mound, Shota Imanaga has been dealing. A 2.40 ERA with a ridiculous 43-to-10 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He’s not pitching, he’s conducting a masterclass.

Funny Part: Cubs don’t win games, they wait until the opponent feels hope… then delete it.

Cincinnati Reds: Bullpen Meltdown Mode

The Cincinnati Reds are in that phase where everything that can go wrong is already happening… and then something new shows up just for fun. Six straight losses, bullpen melting, closer injured. It’s like a checklist of things you don’t want mid-season.

They actually scored four runs in the ninth on Wednesday. FOUR. That should be enough to win, right? Nope. Not in this horror movie.

Rhett Lowder takes the mound trying to stop the bleeding, but coming off an outing where he gave up eight runs in just over an inning. That’s not a slump, that’s a fire alarm.

There are bright spots. Spencer Steer has had success against Imanaga, going 3-for-6 with a homer. But relying on a few hitters while everything else is collapsing is not exactly a winning formula.

Funny Part: Reds keep finding new ways to lose. At this point, it’s creativity.

LVSB Final Score Prediction

Line sits at Cubs -200 and the runline -1.5 (+110) with a total of 8.5, and honestly, it feels like the only mystery left is how dramatic the ending will be this time.

Chicago has momentum, pitching, and the baseball gods apparently on speed dial. Cincinnati has… well… character building moments.

Expect the Cubs to control most of the game, especially with Imanaga on the mound. The Reds might hang around early, but once the bullpen door opens, you can already hear the music.

Final Score: Cubs 6, Reds 4
Lean: Chi. Cubs -1.5 (+110)
Total:
Over 8.5
