Indiana vs New York Preview & Prediction

Spread: New York -3.5
Moneyline: New York (-165)
Total: 186.5

Welcome to the Possible Playoff Preview

Indiana visits New York on Saturday in a matchup that could easily become a first-round playoff series next month. The Liberty are 3.5-point favorites, while the total is sitting at a ridiculous 186.5.

Indiana is 24-13 and leads the season series 2-1, although the home team has won all three meetings. New York enters at 22-15 and has gone 9-3 since late July despite spending most of the season treating the injury report like a group chat.

Liberty Still Missing Pieces

Breanna Stewart continues carrying the offense at 20.7 points per game, but New York remains without Satou Sabally due to concussion protocol.

Leonie Fiebich is questionable with a foot injury, while Jonquel Jones is dealing with a left ankle issue but expects to play. The Liberty have somehow played only two complete games at full health this season.

Apparently healthy basketball is considered a luxury item in New York.

Indiana Has Plenty of Firepower

Kelsey Mitchell is absolutely cooking. She tied her season high with 37 points against Dallas and has now scored at least 20 points in a WNBA-record 21 consecutive games. Mitchell averages 24.6 points, second-best in the league.

Caitlin Clark adds 21.7 points and a league-leading 8.3 assists, although she stumbled against Dallas with only 10 points on 4-for-15 shooting.

Aliyah Boston gives Indiana another All-Star weapon, averaging 16.9 points and a team-high 8.6 rebounds.

LVSB Prediction

Indiana’s five-game winning streak ended Thursday, while New York has been playing its best basketball despite the revolving-door injury situation.

The Liberty have home court, Stewart, and potentially Jones available. That’s enough for us to lean New York, but laying 3.5 against an Indiana team that already owns two wins in this matchup is hardly relaxing.

With this much offensive talent, 186.5 is enormous but reachable if the pace gets stupid.

LVSB Pick: New York Liberty -3.5

Total Lean: Over 186.5

Score Prediction: Liberty 97, Fever 92
