LA Dodgers vs San Diego MLB Preview & Pick

Moneyline: LA Dodgers -145
Runline: LA Dodgers -1.5 (+120)
Total: 7.5

Welcome back to another episode of “Can Anyone Stop the Dodgers?” Spoiler alert: Vegas isn’t convinced. The Dodgers roll into San Diego as a -145 moneyline favorite, laying -1.5 runs at +120, while Bovada oddsmakers expect enough fireworks to set the total at 7.5.

San Diego Padres: Feeling Good… Until the Dodgers Show Up

The Padres just finished sweeping the Braves, and everyone in San Diego is smiling like they found free parking downtown. They survived a stretched bullpen, patched together outstanding pitching, and somehow made everything look easy.

JP Sears gave them quality innings in his first start of the season, while the bullpen slammed the door despite missing key relievers. Ty France did a little bit of everything, launching his ninth home run while also driving in runs with a sacrifice fly and setting up another rally with a double. That’s called multitasking.

Now comes the part where reality checks in wearing Dodger blue.

Walker Buehler gets the start carrying a respectable 4-3 record with a 3.96 ERA. He looked sharp in Texas after allowing just one run over 5 1/3 innings, but now he faces an offense that treats baseballs like they’re rental cars.

Los Angeles Dodgers: Business as Usual

Halfway through the season, the Dodgers own baseball’s best record at 52-29 because apparently losing isn’t one of their hobbies.

Shohei Ohtani continues doing Shohei Ohtani things. He struck out eight hitters over six innings in his latest outing, while Mookie Betts casually celebrated his 300th career home run because collecting milestones has become part of his weekly routine.

Roki Sasaki takes the mound with a 3-4 record and a 4.76 ERA. The numbers aren’t spectacular, but his electric stuff always gives Los Angeles a chance. He struck out six Orioles in his latest start and now gets his first taste of this Padres rivalry.

The Dodgers have missed catcher Will Smith, and their pitching staff has posted a 4.80 ERA during his absence. Dalton Rushing has been learning on the job, and even Ohtani decided to call his own pitches for part of the last game. When your MVP starts managing from the mound, that’s usually a sign everyone is improvising.

LVSB Betting Prediction

San Diego is hot, the crowd will be loud, and everyone is ready to declare the Padres “back.”

Unfortunately for Padres fans, the Dodgers usually ruin those celebrations.

The price isn’t cheap, but Los Angeles still owns the deeper lineup and more reliable offense. If this turns into a late-inning slugfest, that’s exactly where the Dodgers are most comfortable.

Final Score: Dodgers 5, Padres 3
Lean: LA Dodgers -1.5 (+120)
Total:
Over 7.5 (-120)
