Atlanta Dream Betting Preview

The Dream head into Minneapolis carrying one of the best records in the WNBA, and more importantly for bettors, they continue looking like one of the league’s most balanced teams on both ends of the floor.

Atlanta already owns a victory over Minnesota earlier this month, and that comeback win still stands as one of the most impressive performances of the young season. The Dream erased a 15-point halftime deficit in that matchup and completely flipped the momentum in the second half behind aggressive defense, rebounding dominance, and transition offense.

Angel Reese closed the door with a game-saving block at the buzzer, but Atlanta’s success goes far beyond one player.

Allisha Gray continues playing at an All-WNBA level, averaging 21.8 points per game while consistently carrying the offense during critical stretches. Her ability to attack off the dribble, create contact, and knock down perimeter shots has turned her into one of the toughest covers in the league early this season.

Rhyne Howard remains equally dangerous offensively, averaging 18.8 points while shooting nearly 39 percent from beyond the arc. Defenses focusing too heavily on Gray quickly pay the price when Howard gets clean looks in transition or off kick-outs.

The real X-factor, however, continues to be Reese.

Her impact on the glass completely changes games. Reese averages 11.4 rebounds, including an absurd 5.8 offensive boards per game, giving Atlanta constant second-chance opportunities. That physicality becomes especially important against a Minnesota team still adjusting without Napheesa Collier in the lineup.

The Dream have also quietly become one of the league’s strongest road teams, opening 2-0 away from home while consistently handling pressure situations well late in games.

For bettors, Atlanta’s offensive balance makes this team extremely difficult to defend over four quarters because different players can carry the scoring load depending on matchups.

Player Prop Pick: Allisha Gray Over 19.5 Points
Gray continues operating as Atlanta’s primary offensive engine and should thrive against Minnesota’s perimeter defense.

Minnesota Lynx Betting Preview

Minnesota enters this rematch with plenty of motivation after letting the season opener against Atlanta completely slip away.

The Lynx dominated the first half of that game before collapsing late, and that blown opportunity still clearly sits with this roster heading into Wednesday night. Minnesota has played much better basketball lately, however, winning back-to-back games by double digits and slowly building chemistry despite major roster adversity.

The biggest reason for optimism remains Natasha Howard.

Howard has stepped into a massive leadership role with Napheesa Collier sidelined, and she continues delivering elite production on both ends of the floor. The veteran forward is averaging 17.0 points and 8.3 rebounds while coming off one of her best performances of the season against Chicago.

In that game, Howard exploded for 26 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists while completely controlling the paint offensively. Her versatility remains critical for Minnesota because the Lynx need frontcourt scoring to offset Atlanta’s rebounding strength.

Courtney Williams continues providing reliable backcourt scoring at 15.8 points per game, while Kayla McBride and rookie Olivia Miles have both added consistent offensive production. Miles, in particular, continues impressing early in her WNBA career with her poise, court vision, and confidence attacking the basket.

Still, the absence of Collier continues impacting Minnesota in key moments.

The Lynx have struggled defending physical forwards without their star available, and Atlanta’s aggressive rebounding approach creates a difficult matchup problem again in this rematch. Minnesota also sits just 1-2 at home this season, which is surprising considering how strong this franchise typically performs in Minneapolis.

The encouraging sign for bettors is Minnesota’s recent offensive rhythm. The Lynx have looked significantly more connected offensively over the last two games, moving the ball better and generating cleaner looks in transition.

If Minnesota controls the pace early and limits Atlanta’s second-chance opportunities, the Lynx absolutely have the firepower to even the season series.

Player Prop Pick: Natasha Howard Over 7.5 Rebounds
Howard should see heavy minutes again and remains Minnesota’s most reliable presence on the glass against Atlanta’s physical frontcourt.

WNBA Final Score & Expert Prediction

This matchup feels much tighter than the spread suggests. Minnesota’s recent momentum and revenge angle make the Lynx dangerous at home, but Atlanta’s depth, rebounding, and late-game execution continue standing out.

The Dream simply look more complete right now.

Final Score: Dream 87, Lynx 81
Lean: Atlanta -3.0

Over 166.0
