How Does NBA Moneylines Work ?

Moneyline betting in the NBA entails picking a winner. Moneyline odds are positive or negative numbers based on a team's chance of winning.

A positive moneyline indicates the amount of profit you would receive for every $100 staked, whereas a negative moneyline indicates the amount you must risk to earn $100. If a team wins with a +200 moneyline, you win $200 for every $100 you bet. A team with a -200 moneyline must be bet $200 to win $100.

For instance, if the moneyline for a game between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers is +200 for the Warriors and -200 for the Lakers, the oddsmakers think the Warriors are underdogs and the Lakers are favourites. If the Warriors win, you'll get $300 if you invested $100. If the Lakers win, you'll get $300 if you invested $200.
